Lightbulb Suggestion Add a Extra Menu to mGBA
Posted by: CrispX - 10-21-2015, 06:27 PM - Forum: General - Replies (12)

Hello i'm new here.
I can able to do this using on Nestopia and Bzsnes.

It is possible to add this extra menu on the next update?
It will help everyone to save space GB on a MSDXC to play a few games like hacks and clones.

Compressed Full Set 6 GB using 7z.
Uncompressed Full Set 65GB using gba.

File - Open Rom - .7z - Chosse File - Ok.

Thanks. Wink

Posted by: rafaelbh - 10-21-2015, 12:16 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Good morning, everyone , and sorry for the English because I am using the translator !
I have some doubts and would appreciate if they were remedied.

1 - I wonder if is to disable bilinear filter mBGA ?

2 - The emulator will support 240p ?

Thank you all.

Framerate and Audio Issues on the Old3DS
Posted by: Winneon - 10-05-2015, 03:53 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Hello,

Every alpha release from the first nightly to the last nightly released on October 05 (today) runs at around 24 fps on my Old3DS. My 3DS's firmware is 10.1.0-27U. Due to this "halved" framerate, the audio also gets jittery and 100% of the time, does not play correctly. I've tried 5 different GBA BIOSs for 5 different sources so far. One of them is the open source BIOS by Normmatt. Is there anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, is there a way to fix it within the currently released nightlies?

  Scale by integer factors
Posted by: angrykaspar - 10-03-2015, 05:50 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Can we get this option for fullscreen mode please? This would mean 6x size in fullscreen for example as opposed to 6.75x in 1080p. Can we also get the ability to change scaling when in fullscreen mode if possible?

  Complie for armv7
Posted by: netux79 - 09-30-2015, 02:01 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

hi,

I'm trying to compile mgba as an android core for retroarch and I notice that when doing it I'm getting low performance compared to the already compiled core from the nightlies. Also I noticed that my so lib is more than twice than the provided core.

Do you know by chance if I have to do some additional stuff to strip the file down and also get a better performance in android armv7?

The NDK version I using is the latest r10e under linux ubuntu 15.04

Thanks

  Load Save Files
Posted by: antoinecales - 09-18-2015, 10:44 PM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Hello,

Before discovering mGBA, I used VBA-M. Save files are in .sav or .sgm. I wanted to know if it is possible to import my VBA-M's save files on mGBA. Or if it is possible to convert the .sgm into .sps (gameshark save) because we can import gameshark save.

Sorry for my English, I do my best ! (I'm French) Wink

Thanks !!

  Gamepad bug?
Posted by: Renoa - 09-09-2015, 11:15 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

Hello again, I recently bought a cheap generic gamepad for my emulation needs. Noticed a gamepad bug with the latest nightly, I tried remapping the gamepad buttons to match the GBA controls layout, but for some reason, L1 doesn't work, the R1 and R2 buttons act like they've been mapped on the right and left D-Pad keys. I'm using the Ubuntu build.

  A few questions on settings
Posted by: Damned - 09-06-2015, 03:40 AM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Just downloaded it and have a few questions on the settings.

Am I supposed to leave the "sync to video" option unchecked but the "sync to audio" option checked to avoid screen tear and crackling audio?

Is the "lock aspect ratio" option supposed to output the proper aspect ratio of the GBA (Not the internal resolution, what one would actually see playing on real hardware)?

Should I change the FPS to 59.97 (native) to get more accurate emulation of the frame rate?

Is there no way to define custom paths for now?

Also, for some reason the FPS setting unchecked itself. Bug?
