Hello all!

So long story short I'm trying to export a .sav file from mGBA. With other emulators I've used in the File tab there's always been an option to export a save file. When I save a state it makes a .ss1 file(1 being the save slot), which is not compatible with another program I need to use.

My goal is to be able to use PHKeX with the romhack Run&Bun using the mGBA emulator.

Any and all advice is much appreciated!

I hope this is the right place to ask as I'm new around here. So my GF and I will soon start Pokémon Red Fire and Green Leaf on our computers. Obviously, we'll want to trade Pokémons. I've read that mGBA should allows this, is it correct? And if so, how exactly do you do it?

Im finding that the emulator isnt working, it loads ROMs n stuff but to get it to run which i spent an hour trying to figure out to fix it, I have to open settings and spam the apply button to get it run frame by frame, i am confused and just wanna play pokemon. Just before i posted i got it to work but only with fast forward on with unbounded but its way too fast.

Recently, when trying to trade with myself in Pokémon, mGBA would crash, freeze or become unresponsive throughout the trading process (which I would have to close mGBA myself). I had checked mGBA for an update as well as other programs I have open & my laptop itself & all are updated to the current version, I'd greatly appreciate some help with this issue ASAP.

I have been using mGBA for a few years now with no issues but I have become aware that the version I have been using is out of date and am unable to install the most current update because it wants to install it to an old flash drive I no longer use.

Some time ago, I bought a new flash drive because the previous one was getting to be around a couple of years old and I did not want to chance losing my game files to corruption, something I have experienced in the past with an aging flash drive.

The new drive is the exact same one but somehow it is read as F:/ whereas the old drive was E:/ and the mGBA update wants to install to E:/.

(It also won't allow me to delete the old mGBA version because it's associated with the old drive, a problem I should be able to solve later, I think I should still have the old drive but I am moving in about a month so it's packed away, I am living in a stupid staged set-up right now with little more than my laptop and a few clothes).

How do I change the destination location to the new drive? Or perhaps my laptop's drive to avoid this hassle again in the future.

(side note: I prefer to keep games on external drives to save space on my laptop).

Hi everyone,

I have a technical question about mgba and it's related to pokemon, do you have any information on how to use fast forward and reset the game but on several windows at the same time?

of course i can already use same input, background input is already enabled, and i can play with three windows but the fast foward and reset options doesn"t work for all windows

I was turning on my console like almost every morning, I went to mgba and was looking to play Fire Emblem, when I entered the game, the screen went blank, so I thought the game was not working, Well, it happened to me that heavy games like Kingdom Hearts Chains of Memories, then, I exited, and the directory where I had the games was not there, I restarted the console, and when I read the SD memory, there was only the folder where I had the program, and the configuration file, I examined it on my phone to see if the games are still there Instead I found several strange files, does anyone know what produced them?

SO I have been playing Pokemon Blue on my phone with Delta. I decided let’s try and actually complete the Pokédex once in my life. So I did the research and was led to mgba.

I transferred my save file to the Mac. Booted it up in mgba with no issues. Started playing for a bit on the Mac. Then when I went to save that is where the issues began. So It saved just fine. But locating the save file was a challenge. Then I changed the save location. Figured out what I was looking for. It created a save file. It was named Pokemon - Blue Version (USA, Europe)(SGB Enhanced).sav. This was different then the string of letters and numbers that delta saved as. Well when I tried to load that temp save file, there was no game saved. But the 2 files were the same size.

What do I do? What am I doing wrong?

I want to change my settings for the mgba but bc its soo big I cant click on the apply button.

I was playing through pokemon red through the latest emulator for the game boy and I went to log on today, it restarted me from the beginning and I can't find a save file to look through or anything is there any way to find and open the in game save file.
