Hello everyone.
First of all, forgive my English, I use a translator.
I want to know if it is possible for two people to play Pokémon at the same time.
I've been trying to configure the buttons for each window, but only the window that is selected moves. And if I use a Joystick (XBOX Series Controller), it moves the game in both windows at the same time. Is there a way to set this up so that everyone plays their game at the same time?

I've been using mGBA for a few years now and I like to use save states alongside the actual save because saving to the .sav file does not always work.

This method and save states have been life savers on some occasions and I have never had a problem until now.

I am playing Pokemon Scorched Silver and out of nowhere my save state corrupted.

It seems to be just the state in the first slot and I have another state in the second created from the last position the actual save was on BTW which did not save where I had the corrupted save state, this is the reason I use both.

Fortunately, all I really lost was almost 1.6k coins from spamming the roulette in the Goldenrod Game Corner but that is still a lot of time I spent for nothing.

Is there a way to fix a corrupted save state?

how do I set the max rewind frame memory to more than 3600 frames history? i had it going back a lot farther than that, but something happened to my comp and now I can't get it back past 3600 frames. I want to set it to like 9999 if I can, or however much the absolute max is

Hi, I'm trying to use pkhex on my rom hack and there's a problem. Every MGBA .sav has some sort of computer timestamp at the end which makes it impossible to load into pkhex without deleting it. See here:

I may have been able to export a save without this filler data at the end once, but I definitely have not been able to do so consistently. I never had this problem on my mac, and I'm just now on windows. I tried using the old version of mgba (0.9.1) on windows which didn't do anything, I tried the portable version and the normal installable version and all of these emulators consistently add the junk data at the end of the .sav which really annoys me. Is there any way to consistently have mgba stop adding this extra save data on my windows computer?

I never ever had this problem on my mac. I've tried unchecking the autodetect option and enabling realtime clock with all sorts of save types and nothing has worked. Deleting this filler data at 0x20000 always lets me use pkhex.

I'm playing a modded version of Yu Gi Oh: Reshef of Destruction, trying to duel myself to cheese the benefits. I load the rom, select open multiplayer window, and have 2 instances of the game running at the same time, Player 1 and Player 2.

Once I do this, the original instance loses access to all save states (although it does use the correct game save info). Also, the 2nd instance has no access to the save data from instance 1. My only option is to start a completely new game, so I figured "ok fine, I'll just play through the intro and then save". Problem is, now I'm scared to close out the programs because I don't know if I'll have to start a new "player 2" file and replay through the intro every time I want to do this.

Also I can't find where the save data for the game is, otherwise I might have tried to do something with the "pathing" settings. Tbh it seems like all the save data is just wizarded out of nowhere, because I can't find any kind of save data anywhere in my file explorer.

Is there a way to have player 2 load the same save file as player 1 and play against myself? What will happen if I close the program; will I have to make a new profile for player 2 every time because its the same game, and they can't both play off the same save profile? Should I make a 2nd copy of the ROM and alter its name to "Reshef 2nd profile", save that game after playing through the intro, and load it in the "player 2" multiplayer window that's generated from the original game's instance next time I try to do multiplayer? Bottom line, whats the best way to set things up so I can just quickly give my main character a throwaway player to easily beat and cheese goodies from the duels against myself? Hello all!

So long story short I'm trying to export a .sav file from mGBA. With other emulators I've used in the File tab there's always been an option to export a save file. When I save a state it makes a .ss1 file(1 being the save slot), which is not compatible with another program I need to use.

My goal is to be able to use PHKeX with the romhack Run&Bun using the mGBA emulator.

Any and all advice is much appreciated!

I hope this is the right place to ask as I'm new around here. So my GF and I will soon start Pokémon Red Fire and Green Leaf on our computers. Obviously, we'll want to trade Pokémons. I've read that mGBA should allows this, is it correct? And if so, how exactly do you do it?

Im finding that the emulator isnt working, it loads ROMs n stuff but to get it to run which i spent an hour trying to figure out to fix it, I have to open settings and spam the apply button to get it run frame by frame, i am confused and just wanna play pokemon. Just before i posted i got it to work but only with fast forward on with unbounded but its way too fast.

Recently, when trying to trade with myself in Pokémon, mGBA would crash, freeze or become unresponsive throughout the trading process (which I would have to close mGBA myself). I had checked mGBA for an update as well as other programs I have open & my laptop itself & all are updated to the current version, I'd greatly appreciate some help with this issue ASAP.

I have been using mGBA for a few years now with no issues but I have become aware that the version I have been using is out of date and am unable to install the most current update because it wants to install it to an old flash drive I no longer use.

Some time ago, I bought a new flash drive because the previous one was getting to be around a couple of years old and I did not want to chance losing my game files to corruption, something I have experienced in the past with an aging flash drive.

The new drive is the exact same one but somehow it is read as F:/ whereas the old drive was E:/ and the mGBA update wants to install to E:/.

(It also won't allow me to delete the old mGBA version because it's associated with the old drive, a problem I should be able to solve later, I think I should still have the old drive but I am moving in about a month so it's packed away, I am living in a stupid staged set-up right now with little more than my laptop and a few clothes).

How do I change the destination location to the new drive? Or perhaps my laptop's drive to avoid this hassle again in the future.

(side note: I prefer to keep games on external drives to save space on my laptop).
