Distorted xbr-lvl3 shader after updating drivers?
Posted by: angryapplepanda - 07-17-2017, 04:29 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Hi! So, I recently updated my nvidia drivers, and it could easily be something else that changed that I forgot, but now the xbr-lvl3 shader is broken, and instead of cleanly smoothing the game image, it just looks off color and distorted. Literally, one day it worked, and the next day it looked like this:

The older xbr shader that was included with previous mGBA versions is affected too. However, the xbr-lvl2 shader is NOT affected, nor are any of the other ones. It's frustrating! I've tried changing the nvidia settings for mGBA, I've tried using different versions of mGBA. Any advice is very welcome, thank you.

  Cheats in pokemon emerald
Posted by: legit - 07-13-2017, 07:21 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Sorry for bothering about this again, but how do I go about putting in cheats for Pokemon Emerald? I've tried adding a new set, doing the tutorial, switching between gameshark and Action replay, but nothing seems to be working.

  mGBA sound issues Windows 10
Posted by: Marcokobe - 07-09-2017, 09:52 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

I've been using this emulator since many months, but only recently I had serious sound issues. First of all I just passed to windows 10; before, on windows 7 i don't remember having the same problems. In particular playing Mother 3 is a real pain because of crackling and popping noises. I tried changing all the audio settings without luck. Maybe it's a problem with windows 10?
P.s. I'm playing on a not-so-weak laptop.

  Some controller issues
Posted by: InFluxx - 07-07-2017, 02:42 AM - Forum: General - No Replies

So, I recently switched from VBA-M to mGBA, as I've heard that it's a much better emulator overall. So far it seems that way. However, I'm having serious problems with my XInput controller. The controls that I set are not what ends up in game, and they don't always save. I'm using the nightly build from 7/6/17.

Rainbow How to Remove Default Background
Posted by: kenoi - 07-04-2017, 02:44 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Hi, I've recently switched my GB games library from VBA-M to mGBA (QT). So far so good, although I did run into a few ROMs that now display fuzz instead of playing proper. I will experiment some more with that, and let you know the results.

My first question has to do with the UI and it's much simpler: is there any way to remove the big icon background in mGBA that appears while no ROMs are loaded and just have a clean, black background instead? I'm used to that look with VBA, and it would look much-much neater on my desktop.

I imagine there is a way.

I think it would be wise to include an optional launch parameter to hide it, or an option in the settings.

Thanks,
K

And thanks for working on improving the GBA emulation scene. ^_^  Heart

  Up in emulator not reading
Posted by: bellsworth46 - 07-03-2017, 03:26 AM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

I cannot get up in the emulator to respond. Every other button works fine. In some games, it continuously reads up, while others don't read up at all. I have tried both 0.5.2 and 0.6.b1. I'm running Windows 10. I have tried switching what button is the input, to no avail. The only thing that I can think that could be causing the issue is that I have VJoy installed, but I don't see how that would be causing problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Trouble with 128kb saves for pokemon ROM hacks on Wii
Posted by: Bionicobot - 06-23-2017, 09:50 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

So, of all the GBA emulators available on the Wii, this one seems to run the fastest. However, all GBA emulators have trouble with detecting pokemon ROM hack save types, specifically 128kb. I have tried both the latest release and latest nightly, yet see no Override option for this. As I have limited access to a computer, having a single tablet with internet access, which sends data via bluetooth over to another tablet with a micro SD card slot, which goes into a USB adapter, and then is transfered to a regular SD card via Wiixplorer, I can't access the identifier for the ROM hack. If it helps, the hack is Pokemon Normal version.
