  Step-by-step cheat code activation
Posted by: Ruthlessio - 04-17-2017, 06:55 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Could someone please give me step-by-step instructions on how to activate gameshark cheat codes on this emulator? I have yet to find a thorough explanation. If one exists, could you provide a link? Thanks

  Joybus Emulation
Posted by: Ruby - 04-14-2017, 05:12 AM - Forum: Development - Replies (2)

I did notice it was planned (No rush, really!)
But I was also wondering if it'd be ported to the homebrew versions? If that was possible, anyways, would be cool to have a 3ds with a GBA game running connected to Dolphin!

How do I get cheats to work with pokemon emerald?
Posted by: Cyvern - 04-13-2017, 12:36 AM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

There're other threads like this, but I'm 100% lost.

I'm trying to get a feebas cheat (where every pokemon that spawns is a feebas)

I've tried the method in one of the other threads, where I added it as a pro action replay, and I'm certain I'm using the right codes... so why won't a feebas ever spawn? Is it something wrong with mGBA or am I just really stupid?

EDIT: Site where I'm getting the codes from; https://www.supercheats.com/gameboyadvan...ll-cheats/

Question [N3DS] Issues with sound quality (GBA)
Posted by: sentinel - 04-12-2017, 06:53 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

Greetings!

After equipping my own New 3DS XL with the latest CFW and Luma3DS recently, I got in touch with mGBA and was, like many others before me, intrigued by the quality of this emulator!

While the video performance is nearly perfect on my device, there seem to be some issues with the quality of the sound output: I tried to play one of the Golden Sun games and immediately noticed a strange behaviour with certain, deep sound effects and music.
Since the Audio is flawless when trying out the game on Windows, I am trying to figure out if there is some way to improve the quality to the same standard on my device.

I made a recording of the current sound situation; if someone finds the time and the energy, I am happy for any advice or hint that anyone can give me here:

If neccessary and/or possible, I should also be able to adapt some internal parameters within the emulator's source code and create a new .3dsx binary for testing.

Many thanks in advance,
and so long,
Max

  Link and export
Posted by: FerdinandoPH - 04-10-2017, 01:52 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Hi, I want to know if it is possible to:
-Link with another person with mgba for homebrew 3ds
-Export save files to another emulator with mGba for homebrew 3ds
If it is not possible, can you add it in a future version?.
Thanks for your attention,
Fernando
P.D: I´m refering about pokemon games (Crystal, yellow and emerald)

[Wii] How to stretch to fullscreen with 3:2 Aspect Ratio / Transfer saves from VBAGX?
Posted by: HeavyMetalLoser - 04-05-2017, 07:54 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

I just started using mGBA on my homebrewed Wii, and while I'm very happy with how smooth it runs games, I'm kinda bothered that I can't get it to display in the correct aspect ratio. It's too wide in 16:9 mode, and too skinny in 4:3 mode. I also want it to fill as much of the screen as possible, so I don't like Pixel Perfect mode.

I've tried adding "stretchWidth=.9stretchHeight=1.0" after [ports.Wii] in my config file like other have suggested, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, Is it possible to transfer saves from the Wii version of VBAGX to mGBA for Wii?

  White Screen
Posted by: Balloonist - 03-25-2017, 08:47 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

I am trying to load a ROM that used to work in the past, but almost randomly it started to boot up with the white scree.  I have read the solution for this is to change the Override to Flash 1 MB, but it doesn't allow me to click the save button.

Any ideas?

Sega Smash Pack breaks when using skip bios animation
Posted by: SuperrSonic - 03-13-2017, 12:19 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

When using that option several sprites become garbled and certain places trigger a crash.

This works in VBA-M and 3DS VC which skips it by default. I also tried using a patched bios but there was no change.
