Holding Shift prevents certain keys from being used
Posted by: o0lemonlime0o - 04-16-2018, 03:47 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

I'm currently playing Metroid Zero Mission and I have A and B set to my "/" and "." keys, respectively, and I have R set to the Shift key. While I'm holding down Shift, the A and B buttons don't work at all. I think the reason why is that when Shift is held down, the "/" key reads as "?" and "." reads as ">", which for some reason mGBA takes as a separate input. Regardless, I hope this issue gets fixed.

  Linux: Problems in saving
Posted by: TonTonJames - 04-16-2018, 08:37 AM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Saving the state or in game saving works initially but after restarting my laptop, I'm no longer able to load my games afterwards. I tried finding the .sav file or where it's located but it's nowhere. There is a file that appears after I save it though and it's name is like this ".xdp_Pokemon - Fire Red Version  (U) (V1.1).zip.V7LOHZ" but I cannot use it to load the file after restarting my laptop.

mGBA crashes when I save to the battery.
Posted by: brownayy - 04-08-2018, 06:38 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Hi

I've been using mGBA on my Macbook to play Mother 3 and have been experiencing some issues. I can load my save fine, and savestates are working, but when I go to save ingame, as soon as it begins saving mGBA crashes instantly. This is frustrating as I'm quite far into the game and I really need to be able to save ingame, so that when I die I can return to my savepoint. This isn't possible with savestates as I will lose my level progress.

I tried downloading the latest mGBA but I get this message when running:

Code:
Check with the developer to make sure mGBA works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS

I'm running MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4.

I have also tried loading the savestate, then moving the .sav file outside of the folder so mGBA would create a new one, just in case it was an issue with that save file. It did not work.

Help would be greatly appreciated

Bug [medusa] Single screen recording?
Posted by: DeepWeeb - 03-29-2018, 02:56 AM - Forum: Development - No Replies

I tried to use medusa to record some game footage today, since it and mGBA are simply perfect for high quality footage. (But I couldn't do it since the maps in my controller were wrong and there was no option to remap it, please fix  Sad )

But a feature I think is more than needed would be the option to record just one screen (either top or bottom) since the aspect ratio of both screens only works if you're watching it on a phone  Confused

I know that this is a known problem but does anyone know a work around or a development build that fixes this. Thanks

  Linux controller mapping (Fedora)
Posted by: Arsenic Blimp - 03-11-2018, 03:17 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

I compiled mgba from source and it works fine otherwise but default control mapping is not even there. Nothing is mapped to the keyboard and only the analog does anything (dpad) when i plug in a ps3 controller. According to the help list:

"-C, --config OPTION=VALUE               Override config value"

Can I sue this to map new controls. How?

  Golden sun emulation issues
Posted by: Duncan Idaho - 03-10-2018, 02:02 AM - Forum: General - No Replies

Hello, good day. I made an account to report an issue with Golden Sun USA/EUROPE ROM, when loaded the screen will flicker between black and the actual image. No amount of tweaking seems to fix it.

  Controller Mapping Problem
Posted by: Sgrigz - 03-04-2018, 08:50 AM - Forum: General - No Replies

I am trying to use an xbox360 controller, and it appears the left analog stick has already been mapped to A,B,L and R. I want to map it to the d pad. Everytime I try to clear and bind it it doesn't work. Help would be MUCH appreciated

Crashing on game load GM45 GPU
Posted by: Icoo - 03-01-2018, 05:45 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

Intel GM45 Express Chipset (Dell Laptop 1545), all games/roms crash the emulator and windows closes it. No error code comes up. Is it just to old of a machine?

Any ideas out there?

Cheers in advance
