As the title suggest, i am currently doing a lot of shiny hunting on several versions of pokemon at a time. Would it be possible to implement keyboard background input just as desmume and vba have? Im sure that many shiny hunters including myself would be truly grateful!

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, I've only just registered, but in mGBA's settings is there a difference in which audio driver you select? I'm seeing QT Multimedia and SDL. It defaulted to SDL, and I've changed it to QT just to see if it made a noticeable difference in like, sound quality honestly. Now I'm interested in how each differs from the other, and which one I should run. Thanks!

I just got a hacked Vita and I've been using mGBA and decided to play Castlevania: Legends and Kirby's Dream Land 2 but it had Super Game Boy borders and colorization which I cannot disable through config. I've encountered this problem on my PC using a different emulator but I was able to disable them through options. Any way to disable them? I don't want to use a different emulator because the output is much better in mGBA.

Hey guys, first off, thank you for such a marvelous emulator!

I am on WINDOWS 10 Latest Update

Alright now off to the issues I am having. I have an xbox one controller that I have tried to get my config to stay but it simply will not for whatever reason. All buttons will work perfectly and stay configured EXCEPT THE LEFT AND RIGHT TRIGGERS on the controller (Not the shoulder buttons, but triggers just to be clear). The shader I am trying to use (the FISH shader) will also not stay between closing and re opening the emulator. I have tried this on the new BETA version of the emulator 0.7-b1, as well as the previous full release (0.6.3). 

What's strange is that I will set the triggers to L and R respectively and they will work for some time, but then they switch off for some reason? it's really odd. 

Any help with this matter is appreciated, I hope it's just a simple bug that can be fixed as I want this emulator to shine to the best of it's capability!

EDIT : Oh and just to add a bit of information here, when I change the L and R mappings it goes from a value of L trigger = (+2) and R trigger = (+5) Which are the functioning, proper values that respond to controller inputs, to L trigger = (-2) and R trigger = (-5) which are the problematic values, and do not respond to inputs. The emulator changes these values automatically for some reason?! it must be a bug, i hope you guys can fix it easily! thank you for listening.

So, mGBA is an amazing emulator, and the feature I value the most it's its amazing video recording feature.

I'm planning to do a documentary video about Pokémon and I have to play and record the whole thing. But thing is that I enjoy playing GBA games much more on my phone. So I was wondering, could the potential Android version (which I would love to know the current status of such) and other mGBA ports implement the feature of recording my inputs so I can play them back on my computer for later video recording?

And on the note, when trying to record my inputs with the "Record video log" option on PC, I don't see any option in the emulator to play it back, and when loaded as a ROM, it plays with no sound. Any fix for this?


Currently using the mGBA 0.7 b1 version, eagerly waiting for ver 0.8! 

P.S.: ver 0.7 b1's FPS counter displays framerates above 60 (65.4 to be exact), when the target is 60fps and still plays at that framerate.

Hi,
I'm new to mGBA, currently just playing around with code and experimenting ways to implement netplay feature.
What I noticed is that sometimes 2 local gba emulations when connected through link cable will result in different states (even when they started from same states and received same input sequences).

What I tried:
- open 2 gbas on PC A, then open 2 gbas on PC B. 
- 2 gbas on the same machine were executed on the same thread (to avoid randomness of multithreading). 2 gbas in 2 machines started from same save states.
- Apply the same input sequences to the 2 gbas in 2 machines, at first the states keep being identical for a while. However at some point, they started behave differently.
- For example: on PC A, lockstep.useCycles(1, 499) was called, while on the other one, useCycles(1, 495) was called. 

I'm not sure why the cycles value were called differently at that time. After that point, obviously the states of 2 gbas on 2 PCs were diverse.

Hello!  I'm here to ask you for help on one thing:  this morning i opened Pokémon Emerald rom (JAP version) via mGBA emulator on my old 2ds, but the game run very very slow. Is there a way to make it run better?
