Official mGBA Ports

Try moving the homebrew folder out of the Gameboy Advance folder temporarily to see if it works around the issue. That will tell me exactly what the problem is, if that fixes it.

About that forwarder, does it work on vWii as well? That's what I have hooked up in my room right now and not a regular Wii.

I do not have a Wii U, only a Wii, and the forwarder works flawlessly there.

I did that and latest beta (09/10/2015) freezes when i try to open the =RETRO folder, which is located on the root of my SD.
I think it is because of the many folders i have in my SD root (and/or =RETRO folder), i attach pics with my full folder list, to give a precise look:
(my GBA rom folder is /=RETRO/Gameboy Advance on my 32gb SD)

If i could set mGBA to start at the GBA folder immediately, maybe the freeze would not occur? This same file structure works no problems with other emus, as i have set them to look directly in the respective rom directory.

I think the problem is how I probe directories. I made a change regarding that recently that I knew might slow things down. I'll see about potentially backing it out.

E] Probably fixed with https://github.com/mgba-emu/mgba/commit/...0f504fb0d2, which will be in tomorrow's nightly.

I just tried latest beta (11-10) and it is AMAZING. The filebrowser issue is now resolved and performance is off the hook!!

Asterix XXL is a rocksolid 60fps with frameskip +1 and a whopping 72fps with frameskip off! Golden Sun 2, Smashing Drive, Duke 3D all run perfect, no lags or glitches (Duke 3D used to have the gun go up and down for a few seconds) whatsoever. Great progress!

Once again, THANK YOU for the great work on this Smile

Hello again, i just wanted to thank you on incorporating save states/load states on mbga Wii.
One step closer to perfection Smile
Can i ask you if .zip support is in the cards for Wii?

I tried adding zip support a while ago. It seems the library I was using may not support PowerPC, as it did not seem to work properly on the Wii Sad

Damn, sorry to hear that :/
Almost all of the Wii emulators have it as standard (.zip support i mean) so i assumed it was easy.

No worries though, mGBA is top choice no matter what. Smile

@endrift:

I just posted at the GitHub issues, but I'll post it here too just in case.

I tried the Oct 24th Nightly and the Flickering issues seem to have been solved with that one.
I tried Yoshi's Island and the clouds with question marks that appear now flicker properly with the Wii build.

I haven't tested other consoles, but at least the Wii build is now flickering allright. Tongue

Hello, i'm new here.

I've been testing this emulator (11-3) and I have to say that is amazing. All the games i've tried work pretty much flawlessly (Even Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, something I didn't see possible on the Wii!). The only problem I had was with Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure, where one of the cutscenes had garbled graphics, I'll try another ROM just in case; as this emulator seems to be too god for it being the problem, lol.

I still have to try games like Yoshi's Island, but for what i've seen, speedwise, this thing is godly. I also like what you did with the sound, most GBA emulators are kind of annoying to listen, while this is much much better.

Thank you so much for this little gem! I also have a couple of questions:

Is there a way to turn off the filter?
Is there a way to make the screen smaller?

I'll also use quite a bit the feature to make screenshots, thank you for adding it!
