Framerate and Audio Issues on the Old3DS
#1
Hello,

Every alpha release from the first nightly to the last nightly released on October 05 (today) runs at around 24 fps on my Old3DS. My 3DS's firmware is 10.1.0-27U. Due to this "halved" framerate, the audio also gets jittery and 100% of the time, does not play correctly. I've tried 5 different GBA BIOSs for 5 different sources so far. One of them is the open source BIOS by Normmatt. Is there anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, is there a way to fix it within the currently released nightlies?

The old 3DS is just too slow. mGBA does not have a dynarec or hardware acceleration at the moment. I hope to solve this in the future, but that's a bit off.
