3DS mGBA Cheats

Hey! Just posting wondering exactly how to enter cheats on mGBA 3DS. I can find codes online and have tried entering them, but haven't had any success. Also tried downloading a cheats file to my sd card and could not find a way to add the file to mGBA. When I add a cheat set do I enter the cheat code there? Or in new line? New line seems limited on characters for cheat codes. What type of codes does this accept? Thanks in advance, just can't find a lot of info on this.

The previous post is probably by a spammer who's going to edit their post in a few months to add the spam, so I'm going to repost their comment but with the misinformation removed, and then delete the post.

Yes, when you add a cheat set, you should paste the code into the new line section. Each line is usually made up of two "words", the first being 8 letters and numbers and the second being either 8 or 4. Not all cheats work, as the cheat lists online are full of untested and completely wrong codes. You might also need to restart the game after entering them.

It's a common pattern: people post some half-correct thing, disappear for months, then edit a post to insert a spam link into the post when no one's paying attention. I've seen it dozens of times before.
