How to add cheats on 3DS version?

I'm not sure how to add cheats on the 3ds version, I press X to open the menu, there is a cheat option, but I'm not sure how to find codes, or what I should be inputting to use cheats.
Any help would be massively appreciated, please and thank you

You can find cheat codes on https://gamehacking.org/. We hope to ship a database builtin someday, but we haven't gotten there yet.
