Missing menubar

I'm running mGBA on Linux (Ubuntu), but my mGBA lacks a menubar! (Which makes it impossible to create/load save files, mute audio, etc.) Is there something I can do to make my menubar appear?

This is just Ubuntu being lousy. It's up in the top bar like every other app running in Unity.

I'm afraid that's not been my experience. i have looked for the menus in Unity's top bar, and they are not present. I have used Ubuntu for a long time, and I may say this with confidence.

Strange, they were there when I ran mGBA in Unity, but that was a while ago and perhaps things have changed. I can look into it, but I suspect there's not much I can do.
