Every time I try to open mGBA I get 3 error messages. Apparently I'm missing 3 dll files. They are EVR.dll, MF.dll and MFPlat.dll

Can anyone suggest what I should do?

This is a problem with Windows N editions. You need to download the Media Feature Pack for whichever version of Windows you have.
