Save location on mGBA AppImage (Steam Deck)

Hi, I got the AppImage of mGBA some time ago and played some games. I wanted to extract a save to edit something on my PC but I cant find the location. When im looking at the paths inside mGBA it shows me home/deck/EmuVirtual/mGBA/saves but when im looking for the folder in my file explorer there is no such folder. Even weirder, the saves are all there in mGBA I just cant find the folder.
And no, its not hidden. I activated the option to show hidden folders.

This is probably due to some sandboxing somewhere in Steam. I'm not entirely sure where, but there's almost certainly an EmuVirtual folder hiding somewhere else on the filesystem you could search for. It's likely under /var
