I am new to GBA, And dont know how to use it on Mac...

I downloaded the file, and got a mGBA-0.6.1-osx.tar.xz and a mGBA-0.6.1-osx.tar.xz.cpgz and have no clue what to do with it.
I am trying to play Pokemon fire red. (Dont know if that matters)

Forgot to say, if I try to open it, it only opens the other one and it goes into a loop...

Either use the command line to decompress the file (tar xf mGBA-0.6.1-osx.tar.xz) or use The Unarchiver. There's a bug in Finder where it doesn't decompress properly if you just double click
