Trading in Pokemon Fire Red, ie the GBA link? - Annorax - 09-24-2016
Hi all,
Is it possible somehow using mGBA to trade Pokemon in Pokemon Fire Red and the likes using an emulated GBA link? Even if it's something as simple as running 2 instances of the emulator and trading with yourself would be very nice to have.

This is currently possible: go to File > Open Multiplayer Window, then open two different instances of the ROM (not the same file, or else it'll overwrite the saves), and trading should work.

Does this work if I have "pause when inactive" activated in the settings? Or should I uncheck that option before trading between the games?

I haven't tested that recently. I'd uncheck it, just to be safe.

when i used it it crashed on me.
