No more 64bits version? - SGAN - 10-31-2017 I was looking in the download section for official 64bits releases and I don't see them anymore. https://mgba.io/downloads.html The same with the "gits" from emucr: http://www.emucr.com/2017/10/mgba-git-20171030.html Thanks a lot RE: No more 64bits version? - endrift - 11-01-2017 They were never listed on the download page because there's no advantage to them. That said, they still exist: https://mgba.io/old.html https://mgba.io/builds/1/ RE: No more 64bits version? - MightyJo - 11-03-2017 (11-01-2017, 05:23 PM)endrift Wrote: They were never listed on the download page because there's no advantage to them. How so? Is the GBA that easy of a system to emulate resource wise? What if 32 bit systems/OSes become obsolete? Dolphin moved to only 64 bit a while ago (granted there are lots of advantages in that case). RE: No more 64bits version? - endrift - 11-03-2017 Yes, the GBA emulation itself takes less memory than the size of a ROM. That said if windows ever stops supporting 32-bit binaries I’ll start linking the 64-bit builds. |
