ROM locations for mGBA on wii - zephtragic - 08-08-2017

I'm trying to get mGBA to work properly on my wii. I can fire up the app, but it just takes me to a black screen with a VERY empty file tree:

(Up)
sd:/

---------------------

I've tried placing .gba files in different locations on the SD card I'm using but nothing seems to work. Where are this .gba files supposed to live on the card? Are there any "gotchas" that I need to be aware of for mGBA to work properly on wii?

Thanks in advance!

FYI: am currently trying to use the latest nightly wii build and my wii is fully up to date.

Hey endrift, thanks for replying.

Upon booting up mGBA it takes me to that file tree. The cursor starts off focused on the "(Up)."

Did you want me to press "A" while focused on that or when focused on the dir: "sd:/"

Either way nothing happens. What is supposed to happen when you press "A?" Should it:

1. populate the file tree with directory content?
2. Drill into a folder?

Also, do you know if this is supposed to be just the root of the sd card? For instance, should I just have a .gba file on the root folder? or should it be stored somewhere, such as the "mGBA" thats on my root directory?

Oh shoot... nevermind.... It turns out I needed to press 2. My wii remote was thinking it was in sideways wii mode.  Thanks for your time!

oh, yeah, I don't support vertical orientation on Wiimotes in mGBA at the moment due to the confusing button arrangement necessary for GBA games. Well, you can remap it, but there is no orientation swap detection.
