I was playing through pokemon red through the latest emulator for the game boy and I went to log on today, it restarted me from the beginning and I can't find a save file to look through or anything is there any way to find and open the in game save file.

Did you put the ROM in a folder in Program Files? Don't do that. The emulator gives you a warning if you do that.
