I am trying to play the first boktai game but the no matter what I do the solar bar remains empty.
I have tried maximum brightness but nothing is happening.

Has anyone any idea why?

You need to recalibrate it at the lowest light level first

I did that multiple times. I set brightness to 0 and and choose solar sensor setting from the in game menu.
